Shortlisted - CEO of the Year and Employer of the Year
McEwan Fraser Legal are delighted to announce that they were shortlisted for not one, but two, awards at the Scottish Business Awards. We were contenders for CEO of the Year and Employer of the Year, competing against some of Scotland most successful companies including Skyscanner, BrewDog and Barrhead Travel. This award recognises Scotland’s outstanding employers which have created jobs and great working environments in which employees can thrive and achieve excellence.
The award ceremony itself took place on Thursday 12th November at the Edinburgh EICC. The impressive venue was filled with over 2100 attendees, the largest dinner in Scottish history, something we very much enjoyed being part of. Our table was positioned right in front of the stage meaning we had front row seats for Oscar-winning actor, director and humanitarian, George Clooney who was the keynote speaker, as well as Sir Chris Hoy and Chris Evans.
This annual award gathers together Scottish businesses from every sector to celebrate and share individual successes – great opportunity to not only complete with Scotland’s best, but also to networking with them!
The event of course was all in aid of charity and a staggering £500,000 was raised for charities including the Social Bite Fund and human rights organisation Not On Our Watch.
Although we did not win either award on the night we are still incredibly proud to have been shortlisted, and what a fantastic night!
WINNERS - Scotland Agency of the Year
McEwan Fraser Legal company has been named as 'Scotland Agency of the Year' at The Negotiator Awards. The Negotiator Awards are considered to be one of the most prestigious in the sector and are often referred to as the industry's equivalent of the Oscars. The award was collected by associate director Bill Corbett during a ceremony at The London Hilton on Park Lane attended by 730 and which was hosted by impressionist, comedian and actor Alistair McGowan. We feel incredibly proud of this award as it recognises the efforts made daily by all the staff as we strive to provide a superb customer service to all our clients.
WINNERS- Residential Team of the Year
McEwan Fraser Legal are delighted to announce that at the Herald Property Awards 2015, we won the Residential Team of the Year, for the second year running! The event was held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, attended by leading professionals in the industry. It is one of Scotland's most prestigious property event s which celebrates excellence in the sector.
The win was described by an event sponsor as a "massive achievement". He said the firm had overcome "stiff competition and very able competitors" to lift the prize for the second year running.

We are delighted to announce our proud win at the Scott+Co Scottish Legal Awards where the distinguished panel of 12 judges, all independent experts from business, law and politics voted us as outright winners for the Millar & Bryce Innovation Award. We were presented the award at a sell-out ceremony at the Edinburgh Assembly Rooms on the 20th of March, celebrating our recognition for innovation.

"The PRO' (Property Progress Organiser) system allows clients to become part of the internal information sharing, but also works with the staff to reinforce their customer service standards via end-to-end tracking. Integrated with both the front and back-end operations it gives full visibility of every aspect of the transaction. Clients are able to log on to identify which stage their transaction is at and with whom it is sitting for action; they can also access all the documents associated with the sale. The tracking board functionality offers a live feed for property particulars and matching. This system was coded by in-house web developers, so can be scaled and amended as required. The directors understand how effective technology can free up the team, enabling them to spend the saved time giving an enhanced personal touch. "The strong structure behind this agency is excellent. It offers a huge range of services and innovations from a Young Apprentice scheme to Part Exchanges and from use of QR codes to video testimonials. All of these are undertaken with a view as to how they aid the customer experience. There is a clear understanding as to the benefits of clever use of technology and the quality of the visual aids used are second to none, as is the use of video. The training programme is extensive, with the Young Apprentice scheme being singled out for comment by the Scottish Labour Minister. This agency is passionate and switched on."
